Rosary at the Grotto
During the Apparitions, Mary prayed the Rosary with Bernadette. You can participate in this simple and friendly prayer which is recited daily in the Sanctuary:
- at the Grotto
- all year round, each day, at 3.30 pm, in French
- in English : on Mondays and Wednesdays at 2.30 pm
- Duration: 30 minutes
The Eucharistic and Marian Processions are two highlights in the prayer life of the Sanctuary. Shared by all pilgrims, sick and able-bodied, the processions evoke a profound awareness of the ecclesial dimension of our Christian life.

The celebration of the Eucharist is the summit of Christian life and of the life of the Sanctuary of Lourdes. Mass in English takes place each day at 9.00 am in the Sanctuary all year round. For Masses at other times: contact the Information Centre.
International Mass:basilica of Saint Pius X
The International ass is a unique opportunity to experience the internationality and universality of the Church in Lourdes.
- On Wednesdays and Sundays from Easter to the end of October.
- 9.30 am : International Mass
- Duration: 1h30
Evening Vigil of Mercy for young people
We invite you to take part in a prayer vigil centered on encountering the merciful love of Jesus (testimonies, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament…). It is a real blessing to be able to participate in this vigil during the Year of Mercy in the very heart of the Sanctuary.

- On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, in July and August.

Sacrament of Reconciliation (confesion)
Coming to Lourdes is a good opportunity for taking the time to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation. During this Holy Year of Mercy, you are strongly encouraged to avail of this sacrament in order to obtain the full benefit of your pilgrimage. The Chaplains of the Sanctuary are there to assist you: go to the Chapel of Reconciliation (contact the Information Centre)
Going to the Baths is a way of recalling one’s baptism and entering a process of conversion-purification to which Mary invites us: “Go drink at the spring and wash yourself there”. Opening times of the Baths : ask at the Information Centre.
The way of the cross
Accompanied Way of the Cross: Meet at 9.30 am, at the ‘Crowned Virgin’ statue, every day from Easter to the end of October. Duration: 1h15.
