The pilgrimage to Lourdes is often an opportunity to rediscover the path to the confessional and the forgiveness of God. In Lourdes, the Virgin Mary addresses this request to Bernadette: "Penance, penance, penance" (8th apparition, 24th February 1858).
Laurent de Liedekerke is from Brussels in Belgium. During a pilgrimage to Lourdes with the équipes Saint-Michel, he accompanied a person with autism who was prone to self-harm.
Marine, from the diocese of Le Havre (France), gives an enthusiastic account of the way in which her life was changed, both from a spiritual and a professional point of view, during a visit to Lourdes.
It is the first pilgrimage to Lourdes for Annelyse from the diocese of Nantes (France). She tells us about the grace in the smile of others, and also the grace of the happiness she felt in going to the Baths in the sanctuary.
“Go and drink at the spring and wash yourself there”- this is what the Virgin Mary asked of Bernadette Soubirous on 25 February 1858. This invitation is addressed to each one of us.
Sergio is Swiss. A husband and father, he shares with us the grace of peace he received in Lourdes when he touched the rock of the Grotto.
Jessica comes from London. She is in the Sanctuary with HCPT, a children’s pilgrimage Trust and she takes disabled and disadvantaged children on pilgrimage holidays here in Lourdes. She explains what is her grace of Lourdes.
