The Grotto of Lourdes was reopened to the pilgrims on Thursday 2nd April 2015 after several months of construction works as part of the Project of the Grotto, the Heart of Lourdes.
Father Horacio Brito, rector of the Sanctuary of Lourdes and Mgr Nicolas Brouwet, bishop of Tarbes and Lourdes have given access to the Grotto on Thursday 2nd April in the early morning hours . A few hundred pligrims followed them in procession up to the grotto, in an atmosphere of prayer and devotion. Afterwards, all the pilgrims passed by the holy rock where they could see the spring in its new design. The masses, the nocturnal adoration and the Rosary have started again on Easter Sunday 5th April.
