Sunday 5 April, 6:00 am: the first Mass at the Grotto after the works
In the context of the Project of the Grotto, the Heart of Lourdes, part of the work on the site of the apparitions is completed. The Grotto - where access was limited during the works - will again be accessible and available for ceremonies from Easter Sunday, 5 April, 2015. At 6:00 am that day, the rector of the Sanctuary of Lourdes, Father Horacio Brito, will celebrate the first Mass at the renovated Grotto. The Mass will be in French, in thanksgiving for all the donors who have helped the Sanctuary to carry out the redevelopment. The following Masses at the Grotto, will be successively at 6:45 (in Tamil), 7:30 (in Romanian), 8:30 am (in English) and 9:30 (in French). Masses can be followed live on TV Lourdes, the web TV of the Sanctuary. In the afternoon of this Easter day, at 3:30 pm, Father Brito will lead the Rosary at the Grotto for the intentions of all pilgrims. This Rosary can also be followed live on TV Lourdes, KTO and French Christian radio stations.
On Easter Monday, 6 April, the Bishop of Tarbes and Lourdes, Mgr Nicolas Brouwet will also celebrate a Mass at the renovated Grotto at 10:45 am.
All those who wish, of course, are welcome to participate at any of these Masses.
